There are various designs of the wood grain as well as a number of colour tones. This could be well-achieved by laminating Formica on your cabinet plywood doors or veneered plywood. If you have deeper pockets, you could also opt for timber wood.
Formica is a high-pressured laminated plastic sheet, manufactured from several layers of kraft paper impregnated with melamine thermosetting resin, topped with a decorative layer protected by melamine, then compressed and cured with heat to make a hard, durable surface. It is highly heat-resistant and can be also wiped clean easily. Formica also serves as a water-resistant layer.
There is a wide range of Formica that you can choose from, from a cheaper range to high end.
